Becky lives and works in Amsterdam although is British by birth and proudly a Scouser.
Becky originally trained and worked from 19 as a ballet dancer until retiring at 30 when she had her daughter. As a dancer she had always done Pilates, it was part of the dance teaching and world. Alan Herdman was her first teacher. Debbie Jenner & Suus Wilms in Amsterdam taught Becky further and certified her with the one year comprehensive programme. She then worked in Debbies studio in Amsterdam as her first year apprenticeship. Becky was accepted onto the 2 year Master Mentor Programme under Lolita San Miguel in New York, Lolita being one of the few taught by Pilates himself. Becky is a graduate of this programme.
After working closely with physiotherapists in recent years doing more in the rehabilitation world along with mainstream Pilates and also after attending Cameron Angus Pilates for Amputee programme, she realised that she want to deepen her knowledge and opportunities working with movement and the human body. Bringing more to the Pilates world. To achieve this she is now part way through her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy, studying at Thim van der Laan University in Utrecht, Holland.
Becky is an inspirational teacher and sharer of knowledge. She is always learning from others to widen her own vast experience. Her enthusiasm, skill and knowledge make her a wonderful person to learn with.
Gillian’s love of dance and movement from an early age led her into a career in physiotherapy. While working as a spinal specialist physiotherapist in Edinburgh Gillian became more aware of the relevance of Pilates for clients suffering with low back pain, acknowledging that in this population all too often the deep abdominal muscles as well as the spinal muscles became inefficient. At this point Gillian undertook Pilates training, initially at the home of the Birmingham Royal Ballet then with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
Gillian has been teaching mat based Pilates in the Scottish Borders for over 8 years now and has a loyal band of participants which has grown rapidly over the years from one class in a local music school to 17 classes in her own Physiotherapy and Pilates studio.
Gillian continues to work as a respected clinician and mentor within the NHS and whenever time permits attends dance class or takes to the easier mountain bike trails in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
“I continue to find the diverse movement patterns and faulty movement strategies adopted by clients truly fascinating and feel refreshed and satisfied in the ability to address this through Pilates to the advantage of the client”

PMA CEC Provider. She has a 10-year background as a gymnast and
found that Pilates reflected the discipline and precision she had
acquired through her gymnastics training. She became a Pilates
teacher in 2000 but was always searching for something more. It
was not until a Fletcher Seminar with Master Teacher Ron Fletcher
that she realized where she belonged and attended the Fletcher
Pilates® Comprehensive Program in 2008. She discovered that
being a good mover is not enough; the body needs greater
awareness to understand where the movement is coming from.
Following the completion of the program she opened the studio
Atelier Pilates in Rimini with Maximilian. She's been Fletcher
Pilates Faculty from 2011 to 2015. She is now Educator of her own
