Gillian’s love of dance and movement from an early age led her into a career in physiotherapy. While working as a spinal specialist physiotherapist in Edinburgh Gillian became more aware of the relevance of Pilates for clients suffering with low back pain, acknowledging that in this population all too often the deep abdominal muscles as well as the spinal muscles became inefficient. At this point Gillian undertook Pilates training, initially at the home of the Birmingham Royal Ballet then with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
Gillian has been teaching mat based Pilates in the Scottish Borders for over 8 years now and has a loyal band of participants which has grown rapidly over the years from one class in a local music school to 17 classes in her own Physiotherapy and Pilates studio.
Gillian continues to work as a respected clinician and mentor within the NHS and whenever time permits attends dance class or takes to the easier mountain bike trails in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
“I continue to find the diverse movement patterns and faulty movement strategies adopted by clients truly fascinating and feel refreshed and satisfied in the ability to address this through Pilates to the advantage of the client”

Suus started out as an aerobics, fitness and yoga instructor(1990),followed by a Pilates journey in the late 90’s by which she wasintrigued immediately and hooked by the method ever since.

She had the privilege to meet and work with many inspiring Mentors throughout the years, amongst whom are Lolita san Miguel and Kathy Corey (furthermore Alan Herdman, Ton Voogt and Michael Fritzke, Elizabeth Larkam, Julian Littleford and many, many more). Pilates in a nutshell - How to move well for life.
Agi wants to live in a world filled with Pilates and books that comes bundled with extra dark chocolate (and not to mention New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc).
She is the founder and owner of Equitness where she is bringing Pilates to her clients helping them to understand the importance of the mind and body balance.
As a Pilates and horse riding instructor with more than 15 years of experience in teaching Agi knows that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so she developed her unique way to share the knowledge and passion both to Pilates and riding.
Before devoting her life and work full time to Pilates Agi worked as a riding instructor. In addition to be an instructor, she was successful show jumper, competing at international level across Europe. Unfortunately, intensive riding training resulted in a painful back problem. It was when Agi discovered Pilates to strengthen her core and back. To her surprise, more she implemented all Pilates principles, better she performed at the arena. Then, deeply believing in Pilates she started studying it and in effect she completely immerses herself in a vast world of exercises. Then she created her own bespoke sets of routines focusing mainly on balance training and core strengthening.
Today Agi is working with the top dressage riders, helping them to achieve a better performance level using carefully selected training programmes. She is also Air Control Pilates instructor.
When not working, Agi enjoys recording short Pilates routines videos and tutorials for her large social media audience. She is well known for her creativity with Pilates ball and small props.
Steve graduated as a physiotherapist many years ago and has had a diverse career working with professional sports teams, recreational athletes as well as the general public. Steve is currently the lead clinical physiotherapist in Scotland for the armed forces, a demanding and varied post well suited to his expertise in movement analysis and post injury rehabilitation. Steve, as a much sought after therapist and lecturer in sports injuries, also has his own physiotherapy practice in the Scottish Borders.
It is Steve’s firm belief that no injury is fully addressed or successful rehabilitation achievable without restoring normal movement, to this end Steve is obsessive about the correct execution of prescribed exercise, empowering clients to safely return to independent training after the rehabilitation period. Although not Pilates trained Steve shares the Pilates belief that moving correctly, having a body in balance and maintaining strength through out life is essential to keep us active, as well as injury and pain free.
Steve enjoys an active lifestyle taking full advantage of his hometown being a mountain biking haven and can often be found riding the trails of Glentress. Steve coaches the local 9/10 year old football team as well as providing physiotherapy to the town’s rugby team.

Cinzia is a Professional Fletcher Pilates® Teacher and a certified
PMA CEC Provider. She has a 10-year background as a gymnast and
found that Pilates reflected the discipline and precision she had
acquired through her gymnastics training. She became a Pilates
teacher in 2000 but was always searching for something more. It
was not until a Fletcher Seminar with Master Teacher Ron Fletcher
that she realized where she belonged and attended the Fletcher
Pilates® Comprehensive Program in 2008. She discovered that
being a good mover is not enough; the body needs greater
awareness to understand where the movement is coming from.
Following the completion of the program she opened the studio
Atelier Pilates in Rimini with Maximilian. She's been Fletcher
Pilates Faculty from 2011 to 2015. She is now Educator of her own
International Pilates School: Atelier Pilates® Academy. She is
